This program cant handle Apple lossless (ALAC) files -- or at least this free version cant. The lack of informative tool tips and help text (the help menu merely takes you to the vendors web site and a loose collection of FAQs and how-to pages) makes the program very frustrating to learn. For example, if there is a way to pre-analyse an entire playlist for BPM and song key, I wasnt able to find it. I want a program that will take an Itunes playlist and play it during a party, doing a decent job of transitioning from one song to another and preferably allowing the songs to be ordered with a modicum of smarts that rise above a mere random shuffle (e.g., choosing songs that are close in their BPM or allowing me to sort songs by song key in the circle of fifths for a graceful harmonic transition, or even better, a combination both). For that kind of use, this program isnt really farther ahead than the Itunes DJ function -- youll have to manually order every song from scratch. Nor do there seem to be cross-fade settings that allow the program to automatically suppress silence at the end of songs or automatically select an end-point for the cross-fade that avoids the long fade-out of the kind found in many rock or pop songs. It appears that you have to set them manually for each song.

This app works perfectly! However, if you dont know how to use a mixer or DJ for that matter, then it wont. This app is perfect for mixing a few songs at parties. The sync option works great if you have a collection of evenly matched song BPMs. Again, learn a thing or two about mixing youll find this app works as you would expect an appl like to this work. And its free. I just downloaded a free app to mix music at parties with on my Mac Mini 1.66 OSx 10.6.8. You cant go wrong with this app... better yet, buy the full version if you want all the features... w_w_w_._I-N-F-O-W-A-R-S-.-C-O-M

While it does require you to understand mixing software it is amazing. It is better than other software that I have paid hundreds of dollars for. Great use of iTunes, valuable wave information, love the sync feature. This is 100% professional software. You won’t be sorry.

This app appears styling and everything I’ve tried has worked while learning to DJ using online tutorials and especially the manual for the app. The manual is very detailed and easy to read, with lots of screenshots. That helped me a lot at first, getting used to this app, and also to understand some features I never understood before. The layout is logical and easy and fun to work with once you learn where your main tools are. Adding songs was a breeze by dragging in from iTunes app. Works fine with Apple trackpad, too.

The file seems to be damaged? What could the problem be?

No text appearing in any menus so unusable.

Its really a great app. I can record my mix and share it to sound cloud, Facebook and etc. I dont need some software on PC to mix a song. This is the best music mixer with high quality of sounds and effects. Love it.

It is very important for application like this not to crash during live performance. So I had three crashes within 6 hours while draging&droping files into Prepare tab. Now I use rekordbox 2.1.1 powered by MIXVIBES without any crashes while playing and dropping files into playlist. MBP 6,2 OSX 10.6.8

This is really cool professsional DJ app. Awesome design and a lot of functions which you need to perform for DJing. You can also mix tracks from your soundcloud. Very powerful app. Definitely recommend it.

I’ve had this app before. It is an amazing app which I can create my own music. I can be an artist as well. lol. So many great features. Love it!

Popup just says app is damaged. Delete and reinstall. Done that several times via app store. Same thing. Guess theres no support for earlier OSX versions.

Not a bad free app. The dual-panel interface is neat fo DJ-ing, and the built-in effects are easy to use. Naturally as the free version of a paid app, it does not make everything available for free, but an in-app purchase can unlock the rest.

Im using Cross DJ Free version 3.4.0 and its failing to track the changes Ive made on my iTunes playlist. I tried restarting both Cross DJ and iTunes, made sure all of my updates were current, did a full shutdown, and even tried renaming the playlist that Cross DJ was failing to recognize - and it wouldnt track any of the changes I made. I even went as far as de-installing and re-installing Cross DJ and it still would not track any changes made to the playlists. And yes, I have been using the refresh content button each time. Other than this instance, I’ve been using Cross DJ Free for the past 7 months and it’s worked great and I love it. I use it when I DJ out and for my radio show and have come to depend on it, so I’m really bummed. Please advise. Thanks!
